I was tracking this on ebay - it just closed at $328...just a bit over what I wanted to pay (yeah, and over my sad little non-existent budget).
This piece as interesting cuz there is no enameling so the piece is simply sterling. Also, I dont the usual texturing that is found on the bracelet. This looks smooth but cant confirm cuz I was not the highest bidder...sigh
Hi- I'm trying to learn more about J Tostrup and your blog came up. I have a brooch, probably '50s or early '60s with a plain JTostrup hallmark, as well as 925S.
ReplyDeleteThe brooch is enamel on silver, green background with a woodland animal of some kind (elk, deer, ?) My great aunt gave me this, and I must confess to just leaving it in the bottom of my jewellry box.
